The forest was silent. The air thick with the tension that comes before certain combat. Two teams stood huddled in their respective bases. Suddenly a whistle punctured the silence, and sound of nervous cries of fear and exhilaration filled the air. The two teams tentatively ran across the woodland battle field, then came the sudden “whap whap whap” and frantic cursing as first contact was made. The two team’s previous bravado was replaced with a sudden need to escape the paintballs whistling overhead. Shouts of pain and annoyance rang out as people were hit and forced to return to base, running at full pelt to avoid further injury. – Kris Knowles
